Not the Usual ‘Moan’….22nd August 2017 Aug 22, 2017

We had a good win on Saturday in our match against Ards. This was a game where we felt we should getting 3 points and that is what we did. It wasn’t easy and could have been snatched off us near the end. But I think overall, we were the better team and gave a solid display all over the pitch. As I said before, no one rolls over and lets you take the win easily. You must battle and work hard for the full 90 minutes and I think we did just that. I think with the experience we had back into the team on Saturday made us more solid and gave us the protection to go and see the game out. The 3 lads that came in; Mc Cafferty, Mackle and Jonny Parr all had very good games.

Its great getting points on the board and we are now looking forward to the next game.  I believe that it will be a much tougher test against Coleraine than it was on Saturday. Firstly, it’s a long journey and they have got 3 wins under their belt so they will be flying and full of confidence. But I think if we work hard, keep solid and compact we could frustrate them, and with our fire power going forward we could nick something. We just have to get another week of training under our belt and travel to the game with a fresh fit squad and take it from there. No doubt we will be going into the game as massive underdogs again, but football is a funny game and anything can happen. Within the camp the mood will be surely lifted after getting the first win, so it will be good to get back at it this week. We started fines again for the first time in ages so this should be interesting. After 1 training session and 1 match we have nearly £40 in the pot.
