CAPTAIN MOAN REFLECTS ON CLIFTONVILLE MATCH Oct 10, 2017

Cliftonville game

Last week we lost 2-0 to Cliftonville at Solitude. This was always going to be a tough contest and a strange one as our old manager is now the Cliftonville manager. But it was good playing against them as they are a nice footballing team.  We were always underdogs in this game and we battled well but again we conceded 2 sloppy goals and the second one was right before half time which was a killer blow. However, we worked hard in second half but failed to create any real chances.  We now have Alan Davidson signed and that is a major boost for us as his pace and power will be hugely important for us this season.

Dungannon game Preview

Tonight we play Dungannon Swifts in the League cup. This is a cup game we will approach it like any other game as this is a cup we think we can do well in. We will have a strong team out looking to get the win. We will have a few players back that were injured/ suspended, which we be a major boost for us. We will have to work hard and be patient and try and break Dungannon down as they are a good team and have already beat us this season. So, a bit of revenge is on the cards and I know we have the quality players to get the win in this game.

Ballinamallard game Preview

This Friday we will be facing Ballinamallard in the League. This game is important and could be crucial for us this season, as a win for them would take them above us in the table and we don’t want that. We need to be winning these games and I believe we have the quality in our attack to do some damage, and if we can keep it tight at the back and cut out silly mistakes we should get the 3 points. We are at home and need a big crowd down to cheer us on. 3 games in 6 days will be tough on us but at this level it is vital to recover properly between games. I know the boys will all be chomping at the bit for this game as its massive.
